The stories say that Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love and beauty, was born of sea foam. Knowing nothing she floated towards land because she could feel the love of humans and wanted to be nearer to it. When she first came ashore she stunned all those who saw her, from fishermen at work to lovers on a stroll. She was so beautiful even women felt this great shame to look upon her. All those on the beach that day proclaimed she could not stay with them and that she belonged amongst the gods, for she was too beautiful to live alongside humans.
She was not of this world and knew nothing of it's gods. She could not find mount Olympus without aid. The humans sought out a blind man to give her directions but he heard her voice and found himself unable to get close enough to be heard. They found a man who was both blind and deaf and though he did give directions he stuttered terribly as he did, for though he could not see her and he could not hear her, the man still shared the same air as her. Aphrodite still had a divine fragrance, the Allure of a goddess.
