Essence of Enchantment

In the early days of myth and folklore, feminine beauty was often depicted as magical.

In those ancient times, art, poetry, and philosophy had not been sufficiently developed to aid people in understanding their feelings of attraction and so these emotions were cast aside and dismissed as the work of sorceresses or witches. Beauty was mysterious, and beauty was also powerful. Beauty evokes attraction and attraction is woven tightly into the fabric of love. In the world of fairy tales, there exists no stronger magic. Love is what drives every prince to save his princess. True love’s kiss has the power to break any curse. Those who spun these tales clearly grasped the power of beauty and the emotions it instills.

While they couldn’t fully explain this power, people of the past knew well how to enhance it. They used clothing, dance and, the most potent ritual, bathing.

While we understand this magic today, we are no more free from it’s spell. To purify oneself and become imbued with the scent of berries and flowers remains, the Essence Of Enchantment.
